San Diego Weddings and Unique Portraits

Welcome to my archived blog space for Papaya Sky Photography. I ran Papaya Sky Photography part time in addition to my day job from the end of 2009 to 2012. After my son turned a few months old I decided to retire the business in order to focus more of my time on my two young kids and my day job.

For more information about what I'm doing now, please visit my current online portfolio website at www.motionjen.com.

Photo-a-Day 2011: Week 8 The eye

This week was eyeball week. Yay, eyeballs!

Monday: The cat...yes, he is as evil as his eye looks. We named him Rasputin.
Tuesday: Steve's eye, and it looks like the light is actually coming through his eyeball. Cool!
Wednesday: Steve's eye again, this time I wanted a dark background so I can really see how pale his eyelashes are. I think it's a good idea to document qualities of rare phenotypes as often as possible. :)
Thursday: Gwinna's eye, narrow depth of focus making the image a bit abstracty too. Yes, that is a real term! Ok, no it isn't. :)
Friday: Gwinna again, black and white with blue eyes
Saturday: Another kitty eyeSunday: The eye of my mom's bird, Lucy. Lucy is a little over 29 years old, which is about a billion years old in bird years.
