San Diego Weddings and Unique Portraits

Welcome to my archived blog space for Papaya Sky Photography. I ran Papaya Sky Photography part time in addition to my day job from the end of 2009 to 2012. After my son turned a few months old I decided to retire the business in order to focus more of my time on my two young kids and my day job.

For more information about what I'm doing now, please visit my current online portfolio website at www.motionjen.com.

Photo-a-Day: Week 4

Here is week 4 from the photo-a-day project. No particular assignment this week, but food was definitely on my mind for a good portion of it!

Monday: A panoramic shot of Steve. The final photo is a composite of 18 different photographs to get that crazy stretched-out appearance.
Tuesday: A delicious dessert spread for my friend Anna's baby shower by Morgan from Pepper Design http://www.pepperdesignblog.com/
Wednesday: Image of my mom working in her clay studio

Thursday: Steve, wrapped with holiday lights, delay set on the camera with flash at the end to get the swooshed light effect. Some graphic filters applied in post-production.

Friday: Portrait of my brother in law, Mike

Saturday: My two friends came over and we made crazy-cakes!

Sunday: Had to take a picture of all the delicious berries we had for breakfast!

Here are some more photos from my January session with the Wu family. I just love how delicate little Alaina is!Alaina and her mother, Emily.

Alaina's tiny feet in the hands of her father Gary.

Elyssa, almost exactly 2 years older than her sister.
