San Diego Weddings and Unique Portraits

Welcome to my archived blog space for Papaya Sky Photography. I ran Papaya Sky Photography part time in addition to my day job from the end of 2009 to 2012. After my son turned a few months old I decided to retire the business in order to focus more of my time on my two young kids and my day job.

Photo-a-Day: Week 1, Random

I've decided to start a "Photo-a-Day" project with my friend Jeremy and one of his friends. We will be each following the same assignment 3 weeks each month with one "free-choice" week. The selected pictures from each day will all be posted here on Sunday. This week was "random/free choice" week, but next week will all be black and white. :)

Monday: Aikido demonstration at Sunset Cliffs Aikido

Tuesday: Dandelion poof in bird bath
Wednesday: Closeup up my friend Teresa's new painting
Thursday: Dramatic shot of a strawberry
Friday: Peach blossoms
Saturday: Black and white portrait of my dad
Sunday: Closeup view of my cheese grater

  1. Maybe its just because I am in a constant state of hunger, but the close of the cheese grater made me crave blueberries.

  2. I love this project that you guys are doing and I'm looking forward to seeing what you post every week! :D

And I think your first batch of photos came out great. Love the motion captured in the first picture, and the close-up of Teresa's painting....but I think the Strawberry and the cheese grater are my favs. =)

    Awesome job Jen!
