Portraits: Sarah and Pat Expecting

Sarah and Pat didn't grow up in California, but as soon as they moved here Ocean Beach immediately became their hometown. We walked mere blocks from their adorable loft-style home to the beach and cliffs to take their expecting pictures. Little Sam was born about a week later and will have tons of fun getting to share all of the local sights with them as he grows older. :)

The rich red curtains Sarah that had set up in the baby's room worked as a perfect backdrop for these portraits we did after the beach trip.

Portraits: My cousin Tina

My cousin Tina and I had a blast when she visited from Colorado last month. We did the photo shoot-out at the fair together and a couple of fun beach shoots while she was in town. I liked the way this photo from one of our shoots looked a bit like an old painting. Can't wait until she can visit again next year! :)

Here are the rest of the photos from Diana and Jonathan's shoot at the beautiful La Jolla Cove.

Since they had already selected Jonathan Jr. as the name for the baby, of course we had to take the obligatory fun photo at the similarly-named local grocery store. I’m sure there will be several more photos like this as baby Jonathan gets older! :)
We went back to their house afterwards to capture some great studio-style shots.

Wedding: Katie and Judd, Niwat Colorado, May 10, 2010

It had been threatening to rain all week in Niwat, Colorado, but on the afternoon of Katie and Judd's wedding the sun peaked through the trees and was perfectly radiant for their outdoor patio wedding. The venue was a quaint old house that had been converted to a restaurant, each room with it's own color theme and rustic decor.
